I acquired some leather gear last year and attempted some small projects , they turned out ok , I think I like practical stuff more than decorative although it's probably due to my skill level. I did attempt a dear head using some of the tools . I also recently picked up a singer model 29k patching machine and hope to find some projects I can make from this . Here's a couple of things I've done so far Attachments:

Tas ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ A few pointers, might be in order here ; While learning hand stitching, or sewing, it is always wise to learn it correctly in the beginning !!!!! 1.) for this reason, I recommend going to, www.youtube.com type in (Nigel Hermitage) he has one of the best collections of videos for stitching, sewing. If you study him, Your work will become more proficient, and faster. 2.) As far as tooling goes, now your among a big group of us, and all we can do is practice, practice, practice, and scrap pieces , are the best medium for this. You will see a marked difference in your own self. Also on www.youtube.com look up Bruce Cheney for tooling and Bob Park is another. Don't be intimidated by this aspect of leather, its FUN !!! Happy leathering. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
